Our Core Privacy Guarantee
Auroo India is a 100% free digital storefront facilitator for local merchants across India. We never sell your personal or commercial data, never monetize customer transaction history to third-party ad networks, and operate under full compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum required information necessary to provide storefront services, facilitate order communication, and prevent fraudulent activity:
Merchant Information
Store name, merchant name, business address, city, WhatsApp/phone number, product catalog items, delivery timing preferences, and login credentials via Supabase Authentication.
Customer / Order Data
Customer name, contact phone number, delivery address, order items, and delivery preferences provided during storefront checkout to fulfill local orders.
How We Use Your Information
We process data solely for explicit, lawful purposes including:
- Generating and hosting your public store URL and QR standee.
- Transmitting customer orders directly to the respective store merchant’s admin dashboard.
- Displaying merchant delivery speeds (quick minutes, same-day, 2-3 days) to buyers.
- Account recovery, security verification, and platform integrity checks.
- Complying with statutory obligations and government orders under Indian law.
Direct Payments & Financial Data
Auroo India does not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, net banking credentials, or bank accounts. Customer payments occur directly between customer and merchant (via direct UPI apps, QR codes, or Cash on Delivery). Auroo India takes 0% commission and is not a payment intermediary.
Data Retention & Security
We employ industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS 1.3) and strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies within our database infrastructure. Your store data is strictly isolated to your authenticated merchant account. We retain active store details for as long as your merchant account remains operational. You may request full account and data deletion at any time by contacting us.
Your Statutory Rights (DPDP Act, 2023)
Under Indian data protection laws, you retain the following enforceable rights:
- Right to Access: View all store and order information held by the platform.
- Right to Correction & Erasure: Edit or permanently remove catalogs, addresses, or account records.
- Right of Grievance Redressal: Submit queries or disputes to our designated Grievance Officer.
